Helpful Hands for the vulnerable Community

Community Boosting Organization (CBO) is a board-led civil society organization registered at the Civil Society Organizations' Authority according to proclamation number 1113/2019 of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. CBO is founded and led by young physicians and other health professionals with years of experience in community service and public health besides clinical services.

Our vision is to create an empowered community in every aspect!

Our mission is Boosting the community through research and supporting the health, education and volunteer systems via modernized domestic and non-native knowledge and technology.

We have been operating since 2020, and our community services are gradually escalating. We have well-functioning active projects, including

1. Volunteer Health Service support project

2. Mental and psychosocial support for commercial sex workers at Jerusalem Commercial sex workers rehabilitation center

3. Blood Donation coordination and mobilization at Bahir Dar.

4. Periodic Field screening for Diabetes, Hypertension and Hepatitis Viruses

Impending projects searching for partners are

1. Primary Health care for Internally Displaced peoples

2. Mental Health, psychosocial support, contraception services and Comprehensive Abortion care for Internally Displaced peoples at North shewa and North Wollo

3. Health professionals support for Local Health centers project

4. Field screening and Awareness creation on HIV -AIDS and Hepatitis B virus in 5 cities of Ethiopia

5. Job opportunity for Health professionals through the Promotion of volunteerism.

6. Basic obstetric ultrasound skill training for Midwives at Internally Displaced people dense Local Health centers with obstetric consultation, ANC and delivery services.

CBO staff and Volunteers are very committed and passionate about serving the community. However, lack of grants and resource scarcity is our core problem. Therefore, We have prepared this fundraiser. The fund-raised money will be used for the Short and long-term projects, programs, research and administrative costs of CBO.
