Meowby Meowberson Emergency Treatment

Hi, my name is Luna, and if you're seeing this you likely already know Mowbee. If not, here's a little background information on my boy; Mow is a 10 year old kitty who acts like a dog and loves taking long walks on the leash down by the beach. Though he isn't a registered support animal, he has saved my life many times; I have clinical depression and the responsibility of caring for him has kept me going forward when I had no motivation otherwise. He's definitely in the running for sweetest cat in the world (I know, I'm likely biased as his owner), and I would do anything and everything for this little guy.

Last night, he had an emergency cardiac event and was rushed to Angell Animal Medical Center (where is currently under observation after preliminary treatment). From what the vets could tell, it seems that he had a clot in his heart and an embolism passed to his hind legs (causing him to lose mobility). He will need further treatment and procedures over the next week in an attempt to resolve these clots and any internal complications they may have caused.

.. of which the low end has already been paid per their "payment due at time of service" policy (in order for him to receive treatment). Over the next week, I will be receiving updates from the vets overseeing him and regarding any necessary additions to the treatment plan. Sadly, this has already exhausted my available funds, and the treatment costs are only expected to increase as we learn more about his condition.

This has been an exceptionally difficult and traumatic situation for my boy, myself, and all of those around me who love and care for him. Unfortunately, all I can do now is let the doctors take care of him as best as they can and wait around hoping for good news.
