Hello friends and family,

It's with a sad heart that I'm having to create this GoFundMe for my brother and his future wife. Daniel and Katie were a few of the unfortunate residents of Merced that had to be emergency rescued and evacuated from their home due to the severe flooding. Daniel just moved into his new townhome and had been living there for only a few months when last night the bottom floor filled up to nearly waist-deep water around 1:30 am. Much of the furniture, books, and electronics are most likely destroyed and they still have not been able to go back to their property as it is still currently underwater (as are both of their vehicles).

Daniel and Katie have been together for two and a half years now, recently got engaged, and have their wedding quickly approaching in March of this year. They were just establishing themselves with this townhome, so the loss of their new home and their cars all at once is quite a blow to both of them.

Any donations to help them get back on their feet would be thoroughly and gratefully appreciated. And even if you can't donate, we would be very grateful for any prayers or good thoughts for them.
