Please help Mercedes fight cancer

Hi - my name is Devina and our long time nanny Mercedes has been diagnosed with colon cancer. We met Mercedes shortly after our third child was born. To say she changed our lives is an understatement. Without immediate family in our day to day lives, she became our family and taught me how to raise our kids with an unbelievable degree of patience, empathy and compassion.

 

For all of you who know her well, or saw her around the neighborhood with our kids, or planned playdates with her, or brought your kids to the epic midday birthday parties she threw, you know how amazing she is.

 

She’s now in a tough spot, battling colon cancer at the young age of 44. She has 3 of her own kids, the youngest who is 9.

 

It’s well known that cancer treatment can be crushingly expensive so we are trying to raise as much as we can to help her. She’s currently at home, recovering from surgery, unable to work. Please give generously to this woman who defines the word generosity. I’ll be collecting and passing the funds to her so she doesn’t have to deal with even one more small thing.
