Mercy Fund: Dale and Terri Potter
Dale and Terri Potter of Edmond, OK, lost their house in a fire on 12 December and most of their earthly possessions along with it. Dale is a retired Army Chaplain who served soldiers in the Middle East in both Gulf War conflicts, and he's still serving at the VA part-time. He and Terri have full guardianship of Tim, Terri's brother, who has Down Syndrome.
For those of you who know Nathan and Tiffany Schnorrenberg or are connected to TRC, Dale and Terri are Tiffany's parents and grandparents to Kate, Samuel, Luke, and James.
The purpose of this fund is to cover hotels, food, extra care needed for Tim, and any other incidentals that they may experience until they get back on their feet. They have USAA Homeowners Insurance, but many of us know that insurance doesn't and can't cover everything. The target goal of $2,500 is preliminary until we receive a better assessment of their needs.
"Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will repay him for his deed." - Proverbs 19:17.
