Meriden Humane Society
Donation protected
The city of Meriden is trying to shut down a non-profit, non-kill shelter. The people who work there are very friendly and the animals are their number 1 priorty. I am one of the volunteers at the shelter and want to do something for them instead of sitting around and complaining. The money will be used to help them keep their facility so the animals can be housed and kept healthy and safe. The funds would be great to have by January but it is a lot to ask for. This means so much to me because I care about the animals and about the Meriden Humane Society. If we reach this goal I would be very thankful and so would everyone at MHS. Honestly, I would probably start crying. People have been very disrespectful about this topic but I am trying to help instead of arguing. Please, please, please try and donate as much as possible. It would mean the world to me, the people who work there and especially the animals. If the city does not accept this offer to keep their facility the money will go towards getting a new facility. Also, the MHS provides pet food for families who are financially unstable at the moment and the money will assist with that as well. The owners of MHS said they will still keep a very small business going even without the housing so they can help the animals and that's where the money will go to as well.
The MHS Board of Directors would like to thank our young volunteer for thinking ahead and creating this gofundme campaign. We wholeheartedly support and endorse this and will ensure the funds are used and allocated appropriately. We thank you all for your continued support as we navigate this challenging time. - MHS
