MERITxZOE comes to the historic Charles Theater in Baltimore for one night only. This will be an evening in celebration of our local Baltimore Veterans, mental health education and resources and the very powerful message MERITxZOE delivers. Our evening will begin with a screening of the film, followed by a Q&A with actress Morgan Dixon (MERIT), and members of Organizations around the Baltimore & DC area within the veteran and mental health Communities. The evening will conclude with a reception in the lobby of the Charles theater, with refreshments provided by Tapas Teatro and entertainment.
The message that this film delivers is invaluable. Since 2001 more than 114,000 vetrans have died by suicide. MERITxZOE has already partnered with Organizations such as The Mission Continues, The Bob Woodruff Foundation, and Everytown for Gun Safety. These Organizations helped make this event possible, first in Los Angeles on 5/8, and next up in Washington DC on 6/29.
As the daughter of several generations of Veterans, a Baltimore native, and an advocate for mental health education, Morgan Dixon wanted to bring this film to Baltimore, in an effort to share its message with members of her hometown community.
The mission of MERITxZOE is to shine a bright light on the issues of mental health in the lives of veterans, with the goal of getting more veterans to seek help instead of suicide.
