Merlin's Double Knee Surgery

Hello Friends, Family, Facebook Friends, and animal lovers of all kinds!

As many of you know, our six-year old goofy Pitbull, Merlin, injured the ligaments in his hind knees, requiring two surgeries to repair and help him get back to walking and living out his best doggy life.

The surgery can be as much as $11,000 at the end of everything, meaning our final bill could end up being over $15,000.

The first surgery date is quickly approaching, and the first knee estimate is up to $5,002.50.

Anyone who has met Merlin knows he is just the sweetest lovable goofball and watching him lose his ability to get around is truly heartbreaking when he has so much life ahead of him.

The plan is to do the left hind leg first, give him eight weeks to recover, and then reaccess his right hind leg to see what he will still require to get him up and moving again. The two surgeries will be billed separately.

We know $10k is a lot to ask for, so we're just hoping that between our friends, family, and online communities, we can make a dent in the bill.

It was so hard for us to ask for help, and we have been very touched by those of you who have reached out asking for a way to help already, so we put together this gofundme for those of you able to help. We initially were planning to try to find a way to pay for it ourselves until we got the final estimate in black and white yesterday, and realized there is just no possible way that we would be able to take this on financially and stay up to date on our mortgage and other bills; this is not including any time missed from work or other rehabilitation expenses we will be accruing as well.
