Merry Christmas to the Jessops!

Hello! 

 

My name is Christa. 

And my partner in this Go Fund Me is Dylan. I met him once through Sandy, at a baseball game. He’s super cool.

 

 

 

We are just two of the MANY supporting Sandy in her battle against breast cancer. It really does take a village and Sandy literally has a GIGANTONORMOUS village behind her in this! 

 

She’s undoubtedly the kindest, most generous person I know and has a heart of gold. When I see her circles of support, it’s because she’s magnetic and radiates unicorn power .

 

I served with both Sandy and her husband Christian in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004. Sandy was deployed a second time to Iraq in 2008. They are residents of Wall, NJ, with three beautiful sons. They both completed their enlistment in the Army and are now serving our communities as devoted high school teachers. 

As Sandy focuses on her treatment, it keeps her out of work. We are hoping to help the Jessop family by raising enough money to cover at least one month of their mortgage and utilities to help bring ease to their family, especially since Sandy’s treatment was extended. We hope to alleviate a huge amount of financial stress they may be experiencing so that Sandy can continue to fight her fight, and so Chris can continue to be her strongest source of support, for her and their boys.

Update: 12/21/2021

This endeavor started small and it is snowballing into this amazing rally behind someone so dear to us! The outpouring of love is a testament of how awesome Sandy and the Jessop family truly is. Now that the cat is out of the bag and no longer a secret, we are making this public! Support has been coming from so many avenues that we hope to keep this train going just a little longer with a final end date of January 21st. Sandy has been inspiring so many with her battle against cancer. You can follow her on Instagram @ss_jess07 and see how this mom/Veteran/teacher is kicking ass every single day. With chemotherapy on the horizon, we know her battle isn’t over, but at least we know this battle is won with all of us by her side.

Update: 12/5/2021

We reached our extended goal of $4000!! You guys are so amazing and we have so much gratitude that we were able to do this in a matter of a few short days and the generosity and kindness of everyone is just incredible and touching . 

We decided on a deadline of December 18 to get even more donations in. Although we were aiming to raise at least one month of covering their mortgage, we are pushing to get another month in. OMG. Between me, Dylan, and Sandy’s dear friend Diana, we are overwhelmed and so so happy of the overflowing of support and generosity of everyone here!!! It’s simply incredible.

I’m pushing our goal amount one final time and it’s going to be a push But I have no doubt we can do this with everyone’s help!!! We are reaching out to even more friends and family, businesses, non-profits, and other organizations and we hope you can help us in asking around before the 18th ! We love the Jessop family and we hope to accomplish this in 8 days.

Tonight we give this to Sandy! As she celebrates the end of her proton therapy, I think this will just put the icing on the cake.
