Mersea Island Bird Rescue is in desperate need of an outdoor aviary for rehabbies that are in later stages of rehabilitation.

This aviary will be for juveniles just learning to fly, as well as birds who have recovered from injury and need to practice flying again. Our goal is to rehabilitate and release every bird that can safely be released back to the wild.

If there happens to be any funds left over after building the aviary we will use them for medications prescribed by vets and medical supplies for the birds. We have several birds in that need an aviary to fully recover and regain the strength in their wings so building this aviary is vital.
