Mesa Verde Basketball

Hello,

Our names are Anthony, Axl and Greg, and we are the head coaches of the Mesa Verde High School (MVHS) Boy's Basketball program. 

Being former high school basketball players ourselves and a couple of us being MVHS alumni, we come here to ask our community for help for a cause that means so much more to us than just coaching.

As some may know, over the last few years MVHS has had a turnover of coaches which has left the program in a rough spot. We have inherited a $2,700 debt, old/incomplete uniform sets (many worn with holes) and old equipment. Unfortunately, many families cannot afford to cover the costs for each player's needs and we do not want this to be the reason for anyone not to be able to play. We not only want to build a better program for the school but also want to build the school up for our community. We believe that the kids in our community deserve the same opportunity to play basketball the way we did. Our hope is to encourage kids to choose to come to MVHS for the sports, rather than choosing to go to a neighborhood school with a better program. This season and going forward, we hope to be able to provide these boys with the tools, guidance and leadership that will not only make them better players but better men in our community.

We kindly ask for your consideration to contribute to our successes this season. We would like to raise as much money as possible to help eliminate our debt, get the boys new uniforms/shoes, plus some new equipment and the only way to help us is to have people in our community such as yourself to help get us there.
