Mesha’s Tiny Home Build

In April of 2023, Mesha was diagnosed with MS-Multiple Sclerosis, the autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. The doctors have identified several lesions in her brain, one which left some irreversible brain damage. She was hospitalized in April for optic neuritis and peripheral vision loss. This has amassed major medical debt along with time missed from work.

As some of you may already know, Mesha moved in with family two years ago. This has been a trying time for her in general, but with the added medical issues it’s been overwhelming.

She has no idea if her disease course will be aggressive or mild, but her current symptoms leave her struggling to keep up. She used to be really driven to do everything herself and provide for others, but now she needs support more than she ever has before.

More to the point, Mesha needs to be near her family in times of flares and relapses. But she is in great need of regaining her independence and a space that’s hers again. Something that gives her the opportunity to ‘move on’ from the past and focus on her health. Her big sister Tiffany and brother in law Aaron have graciously offered to have her put a tiny home on their peaceful and beautiful property in Woodbury. Not only that, Aaron has volunteered to finish it out for her!

This is where you guys come in! We’re hoping to secure as many people and pool as many resources possible to make this happen and be left with as little debt and maintenance as possible, especially since she doesn’t know what the future holds for her health. We have found a reputable building company for her new tiny home. The land needs to be cleared and the home started. Then, of course, it will need to be finished out. Fortunately we are getting offers to help with this build but with inflation the cost will only go up from here.
