Metis fundraiser - Neuroblastoma UK
Metis are proud to be supporting Neuroblastoma UK in a sporty fundraiser this September. We are aiming to go the distance from Land's End to John o Groats with a combination of running, walking and cycling - a total distance of 874 miles or 1,407 kilometers!
This cause is very close to our hearts as our director Rob's family has been directly affected by Neuroblastoma - here is Rob and Ted's story:
"In March, my son Ted was diagnosed with High-Risk Neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer which affects around 100 children a year. I have since been off work to support Ted and my wife through his treatment, which has so far comprised Induction Chemotherapy, Surgery and High-Dose Chemotherapy. Next steps will be Immunotherapy and Radiotherapy. The treatment has been very trying on Ted, in particular the Chemotherapy, but he has shown a lot of strength and is responding really well.
Support from everyone at Metis has helped make a very difficult time more manageable, and we are so touched that they will be organising a fundraising day to raise money for Neuroblastoma UK. This charity helps improve diagnosis and treatment for children just like Ted. Every pound raised will help ensure that more and more children survive such a devastating illness, so to anyone who donates - Thank You so much. I am looking forward to getting back to work and catching up with you all."
Do you want to join us in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Neuroblastoma UK and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
