I'm Keith 'Big Kiko' Robinson; I'm 56 and was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. In 2011, While serving time in a federal penitentiary USP Canaan, Fredrick 'Baby Gangsta' Staves and I would meet up on the prison yard on the weekends. We'd formulate business ideas and talk entrepreneurship for the black community. Which later birth the idea of creating the Los Angeles Museum of the Crips and the Bloods.

Baby Gangsta is 59 years old and is from Compton Ca. He is from Santana Block Crips. He joined the crips in the early 70s and spent a total of 25 years in prison. I joined the gang, 11-8 East Coast Block crips in the early 80's and I've spent a total of 32 years in prison.
Staves has written 18 novels in prison, where he served 11 1/2 years. He also published 4 Novels, and is the proud owner of a non-profit organization called: Transition to Greatness, which is geared towards gang prevention, gang intervention, peace and unity, and self reliance/ Job creation. I (Keith Robison) wrote 2 novels in prison, created my own clothing line, ebook, along with several other business ideas. I became one of the main advocates for peace and unity amongst the Crips and the Blood, which spread throughout the federal prison system and pushed a firm line to maintain it. I have mentored prisoners who've found it difficult to survive in a violent environment such as prison. Our Mission today is to get this museum built on a level like no other. Whereas when tourist come to visit, not only will they leave educated and amazed, yet will be astonished by the sheer reality of it all.
WHY IS THIS MUSEUM SO IMPORTANT?
It will illustrate dynamic culture that has had and will continue to have an influence/profound impact on american culture. It will be a state-of-the-art, a place where the world can see and learn about the origins, founders, and culture of the crips and the bloods stemming from the early 70s to the present. You will learn about the music, dances, custom cars, graffiti, slang, and gang attire. As well as the funerals and functions.
You will see the Richness and Diversity; hear the unique stories of their struggles. You would have a first hand experience on what the gang life means to them and how it affected their lives, yet more importantly how it affected us as a nation. The museum will be based in Los Angels and will generate funds for the city, provide jobs for minorities, contribute to the states economy fro the many tourist who will flock in droves to see and learn about the rich history and culture of the Crips and the Bloods.
The museum will be a symbol of hope and love, resilience and reconciliation, and most importantly the peace and unity amongst the crips and the bloods. We want to dedicate this rich culture and history to the future of mankind so that many may learn from our past.
Lastly, its an obligation and a necessity that we, as people, and those who who lived it and walked it, preserve and write our own hoistory, so others may not distort or tamper with it.
A portion of the proceeds from this museum's success will go to the victims of gang violence.
We are asking EVERYONE to please help make this museum a reality by donating any amount of funds that you can. Especially all the celebrities, athletes, and those in the hip-hop and rap community that have ties to the gang culture.
