I've been feeding and rescuing dogs and cats on the streets everywhere I go and for as long as i can remember, everything paid from my own money.
This time, I have been in Egypt for almost two years and from day one noticed the number of stray dogs on the street. I’ve taken it upon myself feed them and attend to any medical emergencies. As beautiful as it is living in Egypt, it’s heartbreaking to witness the lack of empathy and compassion towards the stray animals. I have become a regular at Hope animal shelter and Chance. Most of the money raised always goes to help feed the dogs at the shelter and donate to any news cases brought in. I continue feeding the cats and dogs in my neighborhood and everywhere I go and I’m grateful for the money raised. It’s now two years and in the two years I raised just over 4000 dollars. That money built a kennel at Hope that is a home for 5 dogs, it covered surgery and medicine costs for over 20 street dogs and rescued 4 dogs who are living in shelters until today and went goes to feeding the dogs and cats on the streets and in the shelters as I continue making monthly donations. I have put a lot of my own money as well as the money raised into helping animals in egypt as it is never ending.
I know times are tough for everyone but if you can find it in your heart to spare whatever you can, I promise you it can go a long way. The money raised will go entirely towards covering food and medical costs for the animals.
