Help with medical care and bills

Hello, I'm Amara and my spouse is J.D. We're asking for help with medical bills and debt because we're far in debt from various medical and care expenses for my spouse the past couple years.

In 2020 my spouse was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis after suffering from optic nerve damage, leaving him permanently and mostly blind in his left eye.

Since then, things have only gotten worse for us, with more expenses for his care, multiple appointments with specialists for MS related issues, infections, and psychiatrist appointments. He was also diagnosed with OCD last year, and struggles with daily intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors such as washing his hands and sanitizing surfaces multiple times a day. He is only able to get MS medication due to an assistance program from the manufacturer. But in order to keep being treated, he needs new MRIs to check on the progression of his MS. For the full set of MRIs that would be done, there are multiple radiology fees, for which no assistance program is offered.

We're unable to pay additional bills for this expense, because we're already badly in debt from medical and care expenses that have racked up over the past couple years. Our credit cards are all maxed out and we're making almost no progress paying down debt after interest fees. My credit is not good enough to qualify for debt consolidation at this time, making it seem as if no end is in sight.

So, we're asking for help, if anyone can spare some money to send our way. We know it's a difficult time all around for many, and we're sorry that we have to ask for more help, but any assistance is appreciated.
