Penny’s Complicated Hospitalization

Penny girl
We went into the vet thinking this was an unfortunate endoscopy to make sure she did not eat something dangerous after days of being ill and not eating. It has become a complicated (so far) 8 day stay at Angell Hospital in Boston. Penny is my whole world, heart, and gives me comfort, pure joy, and laughs everyday, so I didn’t hesitate when the estimate given to me was $6-$6,500. I have care credit up to that capacity.
After many days of ups and downs and the phone call of her having severe esophagitis, and could not eat without a temporary GI tube, I have been given a running total of $14,000 and going and I just feel sick.
If you know me or have even met Penny you know she is one special girl. All she does is love and wants pets in return. She was even a certified therapy dog at my work back in the day to bring comfort to those at inpatient treatment. I have told Penny many times to get a job but she’s too much of a stubborn princess. I don’t feel comfortable asking for help, but I need to drop the act and forget my pride, because we are in pain over here and the money thing is just another part of this rollercoaster. If you can help me out at all with an extra 5 or 10 bucks that’s truly appreciated. If not just please wish us all well and say a prayer. We could use them too.
Much love, Meg, Taylor, and Miss Penny
