Mom’s Medical
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Timiri Dethmann, and I am Diane’s youngest daughter. She has had a tough time over the past few months. Along with her previous conditions of Multiple Myeloma, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Osteoporosis, and her most recent diagnosis of Interstitial Lung Disease, since February, she’s had Covid, broken her pelvis, been diagnosed with pneumonia, been admitted to the hospital twice, and spent time in skilled care. Her insurance is currently maxed out on the number of days it will cover for skilled care. It will cover more days, but requires copays in the amount of $188 per day. There will be at least another 15-20 days that will be needed. My siblings, Lori DeMoss, Jodi Guilliams, and Nik Dethmann have all already contributed to Mom's medical and living expenses. We can all help cover a small amount of what will be due, but certainly not all of it. My mom is one of the most generous people I know, and always gives her time and money to the community. Like her church, and their food pantry, the YWCA, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, organizing the Harvest Hurrah at her church, and also organizing, collecting, and distributing winter coats and Angel tree gifts for kids. She’s also volunteered at the Benevolent Society. She never met a kid that wasn't considered a part of her family. Some of y'all still call her Mom! All funds will be used for Mom's medical expenses, living expenses when discharge, and if needed, for her end of life expenses. If there are any funds available after all expenses, I think my mom would love to have a scholarship established in her name at the local community college, where she obtained her first degree, and became the first college graduate in her family. If you can’t give, I would appreciate it if you could share the link.
