Please Help Scott Get Wheelchair Accessible Lift

To whom it may concern:

My name is Danny "Scott" Holcombe and I am trying to raise money for a Wheelchair Accessible Van with Hydraulic Lift. I suffer from Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Stenosis, Advanced Chronic Liver Disease and severe conditions stemming from a Traumatic Brain Injury. I am non-ambulatory and am permanently in an electric powerchair and spend most of my days confined to a hospital bed at home. With your help, my Caretaker and Palliative Care Team will be able to get me from place to place, like Dr's appointments, Friends and Family visits, pharmacies, and other general places as well as some social and recreational trips that I have thought impossible.

All funds donated will be put towards the ownership, installation, and general maintenance of this vehicle. This fundraiser means more to me than you could ever imagine...

If you have a loved one that is permanently disabled, and in a wheelchair, then you probably know just how lonely and secluded their life can become and how incredibly expensive all aspects of disabled life entail. Without one, I cannot enjoy the simplest things in life, such as how the wind feels riding with the windows down. I am forever grateful for any funds that I receive and will use them responsibly and most graciously.

More than anything, your donation will improve my life. Having new found freedom, the "quality" of my life will provide happiness and longevity will become reality. Although it can be said that I can take a hit, these health and wellness obstacles have left me with sadness and frustration. Life can be challenging. With a little hope and fresh air, I will look forward to any future I might have. Getting out of this house will be a true blessing, and the possibility of seeing loved ones, the ocean one more time, maybe even see my Phan Phamily will truly be my Miracle.

I promise to continue my battle, strive for a better life, and run like an Antelope! (With wheels.)
