Help Josh Get Well

My son Josh Witherow is currently in hospital with end stage Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) but is also battling a bout of pneumonia that has hit him for six. This past week has been hell for him!
The kidney disease that Josh has is called IGA Nephropathy (Bergers Disease) and is incurable, however a change in lifestyle and low potassium diet helps maintain his kidney function to a degree.
Josh is in the small percentile that the disease progresses quickly and his kidney function has dropped from 21% at the start of August to only 10% currently, (a lot quicker than what we expected!) Unfortunately this means that Josh will require dialysis and a transplant very soon.
Josh has 3 children to support and unfortunately is too unwell to return to work, and probably won’t be able to until post transplant.
Josh’s partner Jenna works full time to provide for the family but as you can imagine one wage with medical bills it doesn’t go very far.
The money I hope to raise for Josh and his family will help cover everyday expenses like rent, child care, car loan, fuel, food, utilities, car parking at the hospital along with the dental work that Josh will need to have done so he is able to have a transplant. (anyone having a transplant needs to have no decay and healthy gums). Post transplant he will also need anti rejection drugs for the rest of his life.
Both Josh & Jenna are very proud & don’t want to ask for help but they just really need a helping hand to get through this very difficult & stressful time.
I will soon be commencing compatibility testing and hopefully will be a match to donate one of my kidneys to Josh. If you are not yet an organ donor please have the conversation with your family, so many people out there need organs to stay alive and have a better quality of life.
I hope that taking some of the financial burden away will help Josh’s recovery immensely.
I know we all have our own challenges in life & there are always people out there worse off than us, however, if you can spare a few dollars to help Josh on his road to recovery it would be so very appreciated.
