Honoring An Angel

"Everything happens for a reason" is what she would say to us all. The reason why this beautiful soul is no longer with us; none of us may never understand. Shaunte was given her wings to fly high the morning of January 9th. She was a victim of a horrific automobile accident. Shaunte had an infectious smile that lit up an entire room. She was an International Baccalaureate graduate from Haines City High School. She attended full time classes at the University of Central Florida working towards a major in nursing. Her dream was to become a neonatal nurse practitioner. She spent most of her days studying for her courses, participating on two dance teams ( UCF Caribbean and UCF Hip Hop teams), and working part time at Aldi's food market. Her faith in God and spirit to succeed kept those around her amazed. She respected her body as the bible says to do as her temple. She worked out regularly, competed in weight lighting competitions, and ate healthy. Her mother, brother, sisters ( Yerelli & Alivia), family and friends are all heartbroken by this tragedy. Shaunte did not know a stranger and wanted to dedicate her life to helping others. Her family is now in need of help to respectively lay her to rest. Her mother will be out of work in the upcoming days. She has worked very hard as a single mom to raise her children and lay a path for them to follow. Her brother will be missing classes, as he mourns the loss of his best friend. No mother, brother, sister, family or friend should have to feel the loss of such a young beautiful woman. I first ask that you keep her mother, brother, and her entire tribe of family and friends in your prayers. Prayer, as Shaunte would believe, is what will see us all through this tragedy. Secondly, if you can financially help, please make a donation. All funds collected will be given directly to her mother to assist with her funeral cost and seeing her family is able to travel near and far to pay their respects.
