As you all know, our beautiful and sweet Mia Miller has been fighting the courageous fight against stage 4 cancer for the past 3 years. She was diagnosed 2 weeks after the best day of her life, her wedding day. Mia has a Neuroendocrine Tumor on her pancreas with metasis on her liver, lymphnodes and bowel. Two weeks ago, Mia was admitted into St. James Healthcare for severe malnutrition. At that time she was then diagnosed with diabetes ontop of the Cancer she is trying to defeat. This last week, Mia underwent surgery where she was then delivered the news no one wants to hear. After 3 years of giving this awful disease the fight of a lifetime, she was told the cancer has now spread through her entire body. To say they are at a vulnerable, exhausted and terrified point in their journey would be an understatement.
Mia and Beau are so thankful for the love and support they have received from loved ones and neighbors near and far throughout this journey and know they couldn't have made it this far without it. Unfortunately, with the most recent events that have transpired the struggle and stress of finances have come very much to light.
At this point, Mia is going to continue her fight with the assistance of Home Health Care and things are at a one day at a time basis. Mia is hoping to have her beloved husband Beau and her mom, Amy Birkelo, take time away from work to spend these upcoming days with her at home. This is a "want" I am sure we can all understand. With time away from work, financial burden and stress are extreme. We are doing whatever we can to help ease any worry we can from their minds and ask that you consider helping us help them in the days ahead. Any amount helps and is so very needed and appreciated. We want to give Mia the gift of peace of mind and comfort as she enters the next step in this journey.
