Mia's braille reader fund

Donation protected
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story.

Mia is a beautiful funny happy little girl who is registered severely sight impaired (Blind). Mia was born with a very rare condition called Optic Nerve Hypoplasia and Nystagmus. There is currently no cure for Mia's eye conditions.

This however does not stop her living life to the full and we always push for the best for Mia and always want her to have what she needs in order to enable her to thrive.

Mia will be starting school next September and we have just started our braille learning journey.

Currently, we do not believe Mia will be able to read print so Mia will learn to read braille. By learning braille Mia will be able to navigate the world independently and not always have to rely on someone or technology.

This is something we are passionate about and feel it is so important, which is why we would love Mia to be able to have the correct tools to help her learn. She will then have the same opportunities as sighted children.

To help Mia along in her learning and education, we would like to purchase Mia a Smart braille reader that Mia can have at home so we can continue her learning.

We aren't a family to normally ask for help but we will do all we can to insure we can support Mia. We would be so grateful and appreciative of any donations to help us fund a new braille reader for Mia. It really does mean the world to us.

We have also moved into our forever home but unfortunately it does need a few adaptations to make it safe and fully accessible for Mia, so we are also raising money to be able to fund a safe path for Mia to explore and freely use the garden.

Thank you again for reading, any contributions would be greatly appreciated but equally important is spreading awareness.

So please share Mia's story with friends and family far and wide to potentially help other families going through a similar diagnosis.
