Mia's cancer fight
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Susanna, affectionately known as Oma Zanna to my beautiful granddaughters.
They are the children of my eldest son and his wife, living in Shepparton, regional Victoria.
My eldest granddaughter, Mia, has a genetic condition called Li Fraumeni Syndrome.
She was diagnosed at one year old and fought her first battle with a very rare form of adrenal cancer. Her battle has saved my son's life, as it was detected he has the same condition, with his own set of chronic medical conditions he is navigating.
We have been blessed with 5 cancer- free years and the results from the most recent round of comprehensive testing have found Mia has a form of bone cancer.
This round of treatment will require 9 months of chemotherapy and major surgery and rehabilitation.
The family are struggling with the stresses and pressures being placed on them with travelling, work commitments, finances, living away from home as well as the day to day stresses any family goes through, and all of this with a three month old baby.
My son is the most generous person I know and is reluctant to ask for help himself, so my prayer is that you will kindly and generously donate to them so they can support Mia in every way possible during this traumatic time.
May God bless you for your contribution and your prayers for my children and grandchildren as they navigate this challenge.
