Micah Thomas gone at 14 years old

Donation protected

My name is Vernita Smith. And it is with heavy hearts I announce the passing of my son Micah Thomas who was only 14 and on January 1, 2024. He unfortunately was taken too soon and is the first murder in Jacksonville Florida of the year of 2024. Micah had so much more to give this world before this senseless crime took his life. Micah was very caring, loved his parents, grand parents and siblings and loved ones. He was truly a sweet boy, outgoing and such a funny kid. During his short life he loved riding dirt bikes, he bred dogs, help train them, and loved caring for his dogs. He truly touched so many hearts.

We were not prepared for this senseless violence of our community to impact our family the way it did but it truly has affected us in so many ways that we are trying to find answers and get through this difficult time. I am humbly asking for your help as I am an entrepreneur and since the passing of my son I have not been able to go into work and service my clients. I am in hopes you can open your hearts to me and my family and assist me through the expenses to give Micah a proper home-going and expenses that have occurred during this time I am off. I’m also asking for your continued prayers.
