Micah's 4th eye surgery on May 15th @ Cleveland Clinic

My 7 year old nephew, Micah, injured his eye while playing with his siblings on the evening of July 30th 2023. What was initially thought to just be a small abrasion was quickly discovered to be way more extensive while at the ER. After seeing the eye specialist, he had to have emergent surgery that night. During surgery, it was discovered that the cornea was ripped about 75% of the way down, and part of his iris was ripped as well. He has also developed a significant cataract because of the rupture. It is still unknown if there is any retina damage as he still can not see much. He will have weekly doctor appointments and will still need a 2nd, possible 3rd surgery within a few months. Due to the multiple eye specialist appointments and multiple surgeries, we would like to help offset the stress of upcoming medical bills and loss of wages for our sister, Kelli, while she takes off work during surgery times and while taking care of Micah during the healing period.
