Michael Antell

Every so often an opportunity presents itself where we as a community can give karma a nudge in the right direction. A tragic accident has taken one of our community members far too early, and we are asking family, friends, and our surrounding community to return some of the good will that they have received. Michael Antell was killed in car accident driving home from work on December 16th, 2022. Mike was my friend, but more importantly he was the type of person that was the glue in familial bonds. His dedication to Caroline and eagerness to provide the same care for the soon to arrive Samuel was a joy to watch. Mike’s devotion as a new husband was unrivaled. His love for Becca shone so bright, you could catch a secondhand newlywed high just from being around them. His parents and in-laws always seemed to be looking on him with admiration, and who wouldn’t. Mike always seemed to be content in putting others before himself, made it look easy, and never looked for any credit in return. Anyone who has ever had to ask for help in community efforts knows that it is often met with excuses or turned heads. Michael Antell was different. Despite the fact that he worked seven days a week in addition to the familial duties we are all familiar with, he was always willing to sacrifice whatever free time he could scrounge up to help our kids in the St Dorothy’s community.
