Michael Bud Edgerton

I am one of many heartbroken voices to speak of the tragic loss for a wonderful person taken too soon. On Friday March 24, at the age of 33, Michael Bud Edgerton suffered a massive and fatal heart attack at home with his family.

Michael Bud never knew a stranger, in any setting, he brought an easy joy to whatever the occasion may be. He was a man who never needed to be the center of attention, but was content to bring people together and enjoy the smiles he helped to create. His love of cinema was shared through his fun short films he made with his friends and family. An avid reader, he shared his passion through his reviews with words of wit and candor that many looked forward to. A lifelong Pacers fan, diehard SF Giants fan and Notre Dame apologist (this is our year!) paled in comparison to his year-round Christmas spirit. He was the embodiment of so much of what’s right in this world.

Michael was an amazing father and husband and his young family will miss him the most. From the loving way he cared and provided for them to the everyday positivity he brought. Now that he is gone, we turn our thoughts to his 1 year old son Lewis, and his wife Victoria. There are so many uncertainties they face and we hope to ease some of the burdens that come with the challenges ahead. All proceeds from donations will go towards funeral costs, bereavement process and hopefully create some stability for Lewis.
