Michael Campbell Stroke Recovery

Hi everyone, this is Michael's family (Penny, Fox, and Dakota). As some of you may have heard/witnessed; Michael collapsed on stage Friday, June 4th while performing with The Band Brother. Michael has suffered a stroke that is impacting (but not disabling) the movement of half of his body. He is currently in the ICU at Parkview (PRMC) and at most times acting like his normal self. Prognosis looks well for a full recovery, however we have no timeframe regarding that recovery. We are grateful for everyone in the band for taking care of my father on the night of the accident. We thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers, due to hospital policy there are no visitations outside of immediate family; however if you feel obligated to send anything or donate to this campaign we very much appreciate it and will try to thank you, in kind, at a future date.

UPDATE June 10: Michael has had some good days and some bad days since his stroke on the 5th. Movement of his body from the stroke continues to improve day by day; but is constrained by episodes of non-responsiveness and extensive sleep. Today he remains in ICU and is more alert and himself than the last two bad days. He asked this morning when he could come home and unfortunately that will not come soon. We're hopeful his condition stabilizes in the next 1-2 days so he can move from the ICU into a main hospital room. Michael will need 2 or more weeks of inpatient physical therapy further delaying his return to home, but we're still looking toward a full recovery.
