Michael Cassel is a visionary brand creator and storyteller who has influenced and uplifted many people’s lives with his uber-hip creativity and big heart. His first brand, Bronze Age, deeply impacted the Venice Beach surf and skate culture and introduced his loyal customers to his belief in living the legendary life and looking good doing it. He spread this vision further with the creation of other storied, highly successful brands such as Von Dutch clothing and Stronghold denim and their trendsetting clothing and accessories.
No matter where life’s ups and down took him, Mike always had his finger on the pulse of American culture. He poured his heart and soul into helping people express themselves with confidence and style. Unfortunately he has come upon hard times and no longer has any affiliation with these iconic brands he launched.
In the past, Mike has been able to help many people out, but tragically, is now in critical need of help in return. He was recently seriously injured in a fall which fractured his neck and caused paralysis. He has undergone major surgery and is very fortunate to have regained his motor skills. He has also suffered from severe rheumatoid arthritis for many years and has developed a dependency on opioids to manage the excruciating pain.
The people that love him have created this fundraising campaign to help him with his medical bills and physical rehabilitation. More importantly, Mike has dedicated his life to turning this devastating wakeup call and confrontation with his own mortality into a huge blessing by committing to a clean and sober life and entering rehab for his opioid addictions.
In this hopeful next stage of his journey, Mike wants to give back by using his own story as an example of the miracles that are possible when you use your own difficult lessons to help others so they can avoid making the same mistakes. With your kind and generous support, Mike can get the second chance all human beings deserve to evolve and become an inspiring role model.

I remember Jay Adams introduced me to Mike Cassel, thats when I started my friendship with Mike, a couple of years later Mike started his 1st clothing co. called Bronze Age, he was gracious enough to sponsor me surfing & skating, and helped me off and on all through my life, he is a great guy, and he is very intelligent in many fields!
We’ve had a life long friendship through the goods & the bad’s, he has always given the shirt off his back to any of his friends in need, now he needs all of our help with his current heath condition, please find it in your heart to help him out, he was there for us when we were young!
