Michael Chimento's Medical Journey
Donation protected
On Saturday, January 7, 2023, Michael Chimento suffered a life-changing stroke. Due to the severity of the stroke, Michael is facing long-term rehabilitation care. Currently, his speech is limited to a few words, and he is completely paralyzed on the right side of his body with limited movement on his left. While family and loved ones are making decisions on behalf of Michael, there are many unknowns as to what life will look like in his future.
A beloved, inspirational teacher, Michael’s presence will be greatly missed by students and staff for at least the remainder of the semester. Divine intervention at work, Michael’s current substitute teacher is one of his former students who was inspired to become a photography teacher--who better to step into Michael’s classroom!
Michael has a BIG personality and love for life! We know that his stubborn self is going to fight like hell to regain his independence. Michael’s gift is to create in the world of all things art, and that is his journey now—to recreate his life.
To support Michael, he needs our prayers, positive thoughts, and financial support to cover vast current and future rehabilitation and medical needs. In whatever ways we can, we sit beside him as he courageously continues to create his story.
