Support Michael Collins & the Collins family

Michael is one of those people who are always nice. Mike has managed to bring a culture change to our ICU in his 4 years with Allegheny Health Network, and everyone feels like they have known him forever! He brings his unique sense of humor, humility, generosity, kindness to work - and we are all better off for it. 

Besides taking over our ECMO program and leading our ICU program through the pandemic, Mike hit major milestones in his personal and professional life in recent years. Michael and Lori recently adopted their son Ty, settled into their new home and acquired US citizenship (Yes! The reason he is so nice is because he is Canadian!). 

Michael has directly and indirectly helped save countless lives in his relentless pursuit for excellence in ICU care. But shortly after turning 41, he has been dealt with a raw deal with an aggressive form of pancreatic cancer. Although he insists on dealing with this news with his usual positive energy, our dear friend and colleague needs your help.
