Michael Cooke

Michael David Cooke, 45 of Lexington, KY died September 18, 2020 at his home.  He was born February 18, 1975 in Lexington South Carolina to Donna Faye and David Rice Cooke.  Michael was a graduate of Lafayette High School and attended BYU Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho.  He was a sweet loving man, son and husband and enjoyed caring for others.  He aspired to become a pharmacist and was working on finishing his degree at the University of Kentucky.  He always said his greatest achievement was his children and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.  He is preceded in death by his former wife Tonya Rae Purdy Cooke (mother of his children) and survived by his parents, his wife of 10 years Lori Jane Cooke.  His children, Alex, Brandon and Austin Cooke, his step-children Amber Storms, Cameron Storms, Brittany Lambert, Ethan Lambert and Maggie Carmack and his siblings Lisa (Craig) Conway, Traci Cooke, Amy (Howard) Hanshaw, Carrie (Travis) Walters and Kevin (Kristen) Cooke as well as six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.   In lieu of flowers, donations to the family are suggested to help with funeral expenses and to help his widow and children going forward.  We will miss you Michael!!
