Michael Dempsey lost his home to Marshall Fire

Hello lovely humans, Mike here... I am still processing this massive loss, so my dear friends Jordan, Kelsey, and Devin helped me write this. I am doing the best I can keep up with communication and express my needs to harness all the support that has been offered. Thank you, I love you.

"Our dear friend, Mike Dempsey, lost his home during the devastating Marshall Fires that swept through the town of Superior on December 30th 2021 (The address was: 207 W William St Superior, CO). He was able to escape with his dog Lili and the clothes on his back. Rather than saving his own belongings, he left them behind and opted to spend his last remaining minutes by kicking down his neighbor's door to save their dog's life. This just shows that Mike truly is the most inherently selfless person we know. A true hero.

He has dedicated his life and business to advocate for the arts. He still supports countless artists' careers and puts every artist on a pedestal. Now more than ever he needs our help, the help of the community, to put him back in the reflection he sees in us. As many of you know, in addition to being an art broker, Mike is also an art collector. His lifelong art collection was security for his future and his means to retirement. Obviously the artwork lost is irreplaceable. However, any and all donations will help. All funds will go directly towards helping Mike get back on his feet. He is grateful for donations in other forms; clothes, toiletries, art, and other home goods.

Mike is currently staying at his parents house in Castle Rock, so if you don’t want to make the trek down there all clothing/household donations in Denver can be dropped off locally at Jordan Leonard & Devin Miyazaki’s house. Please reach out on facebook to either of us to coordinate.
