Hello Friends & Family! We are creating this private go fund me to raise money for a tree to be planted along with a bench and plaque underneath in Uncle Mike’s name. It will be located in Millwood Park! The park that Michael Ed and many others fought so hard to save from being destroyed by over development. The city is just now undergoing plans to create a lovely green space for all of Wichita to enjoy, and what better way to honor one of our greatest loves than to resurrect a memorial that we all can enjoy and feel his presence! Please, whatever little bit helps. The bench with plaque is $3250 and the tree is $750. This includes the city making sure it is cared for and that the tree will be looked after for 3 years, establishing and growing roots! We are meeting on Oct. 2nd with the city’s master gardener, a tree specialist and those in charge of our city’s parks and recreation center to get the ball rolling. The celebration of life will be in the spring of 2024 at Mosley Street Melodrama. This is allowing us time for our out of town family and friends to join us.
