Michael Frenette Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Michael Frenette is a woodworking instructor, craftsman, and a true Adirondack legend. He has shared his knowledge of woodworking with hundreds of students over the course of his career. Former students will remember those crisp autumn days in Michael’s wood shop making a pot of strong coffee on his two burner stove and getting to work on a lathe or band saw for the first time. In addition to learning about the native trees of the Adirondack forests and how to work with the grain to fashion something beautiful, many of us carry memories of Michael’s generosity and openness: stories of his world travels, accounts of his time in the Adirondack backcountry, and bonfires at his home.
Michael recently suffered another stroke that has affected his mobility, speech, and ability to work. We would like to collect funds to help support Michael during this difficult time. Michael will use the money you donate to cover his regular living expenses.
Any amount you’re willing to contribute would be greatly appreciated. If you aren’t able to contribute money at this time, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and classmates would mean the world to us as well. And of course, if you know Michael you know he loves to hear from his buds, so this is a great time to write him a letter, give him a call, or drop by if you’re passing through the Adirondacks.
