Michael Hilbig

In the early hours of December 2nd, 2023, Michael unexpectedly passed away.

Michael left behind his wife Jenny; sons Christian and Xavier and stepdaughters Madison and Cassidy.

Michael was an avid artist who spent every morning doing what he loved. Many people are lucky enough to have a Michael original in their home. Living on the Cape for most of his life, he painted lots of ocean, shell and sand scenes.

Michael also enjoyed spending time on the water during the summer months. He often brought Jenny and the kids out in the canoe to what they called “Hilbig Island”. Many memories were made on that stretch of sand.

As most of you know, Jenny and Michael adopted their now 6 year old son, Xavier. Xavier has special needs and requires a lot of support and attention. Now, due to the unexpected and sudden passing of her husband of 23 years, and with Michael having been the only breadwinner, Jenny will be facing many new challenges

as she navigates what life will look like from now on.
