Michael Joseph Harris

Hello. We are friends of Michael Joseph Harris. AKA Mikey $s and Mikey Moo. We are hoping to help raise money for lfuneral expenses on behalf of his family. Mikey was a high spirited man who always tried to make others happy. When the going got tough he got tougher. He tried to lift the spirits of all those who knew him and quickly made friends with new people in the group. He reached out to everyone. If you were ill he would check in on you. If you were struggling he would lend a helping hand. No matter what the task at hand was he would be there if you needed him, no questions asked. His biggest flaw was that drugs became an issue. He struggled for many years fighting his demons trying to stay clean and sober. unfortunately sometimes with recovery relapse occur. Yes Mikey did suffer several relapses yet He always fought back to get himself on track. Through his journey he helped many who also suffer from this horrific disease. To everyone’s dismay this time his demons defeated him. On Monday January 22 his. dear mother Beth got the call all mothers dread.It appeared Mikey overdosed and he was now on life support. The situation did not look good yet he was kept on life support despite the lack of brain function so that his organs could be donated to those in need. . Mikey’s family live upstate. His parents would like to have services in Rockland as he has strong ties to the nyack community. There are no resources available to have a proper service. We are asking anyone and everyone to please find it in their hearts to help. No amount is too small. Let’s all try to put Mikey to rest properly. His walk of honor is scheduled for Saturday after which arrangements will be made. Thank you on advance for any donations you may contribute.

Mikeys walk of honor was yesterday1 /28/2024. They were able to save many lives with his generous donation. His funeral arrangements are set for 10:30 am on February 3, 2024. at Hannemans Funeral home in Nyack, NY. E want to thank all that have contributed towards his services along with anyone else who still does. We are extremely grateful for everyone’s kindness and support!
