Michael Landon Collingswood Memorial Lake Bench

We are reaching out to you because we, like you, are a part of something great!  We are all fans of Michael Landon and we thought – as a fan – you would be interested in joining our cause. 

While honoring Michael Landon and his legacy has always been a passion of ours, we’ve been looking for a way to make a permanent contribution to his legacy.  Michael Landon is known as ‘Television’s Good Guy’ due to his contribution to wholesome and uplifting storytelling.  This legacy continues to this day.  It is our desire to honor the man and his work with a memorial.  What better way to do so than with a park bench on the lake that he loved so much as a young boy?  Michael Landon (then Eugene Orowitz) spent many afternoons dreaming and fishing on the dock across from his Newton Park Lake Drive home.  This, along with other boyhood haunts in Collingswood NJ have become ‘must stop’ spots for fans on any trip to the borough.  Just as the lake was a special place for Mr. Landon, we want to make it a special place for his fans to visit and honor him.  Our intention is to purchase a memorial bench with bronze plaque in his honor and to frame it with two October Glory Maple trees, and have both bench and trees installed by his birthday on October 31st, 2021 of this year.
