Michael Leff Memorial Fund

Hi, my name is Melanie and I'm fundraising for my aunt Maria and cousin Andrew. We suddenly lost my uncle Michael to cardiac arrest in October, and it's left my aunt and cousin at a loss in more ways than one.

My uncle would do anything for his family. He was a long-time insurance agent, who had professional relationships that turned into lifelong friendships. He was not one to ask for help, always wanting to show that he could take care of everything and everyone. Now, I'm asking for the help when he can't, and I'm hoping to get Maria and Andrew back on their feet.

Michael had many health issues, including going to dialysis three times a week, multiple myeloma, diabetes, and a bout with COVID that had him away from home for 5 months in 2022. Due to the COVID illness, my uncle had to go on disability leave from work, and although he tried, he was never able to go back to work.

Now, with his sudden death, my aunt and cousin are in a state where they are trying to make ends meet. Michael was the one who had always handled everything from the finances to the grocery shopping. Now, my aunt Maria and cousin Andrew are struggling just to cover monthly bills and catch up on the bills from before my uncle passed.
