He wasn't much in the eyes of the world, he'll never make history. He wasn't much in the eyes of the world but he was the world to me. My dad, now here was a man. To me he was everything strong, couldn't do wrong. He understands when i bring him troubles to share he was always there... My dad

My dad was a proud man and raised a proud daughter, proud children. He was the first to offer help and support to any and all who needed it. He raised us to to do the same. Never a bad word spoken about anyone. Even in his final days he was more worried about others than about himself. He wrote "I just hope everyone has a good today" in a notebook I had given to him at the start of this terrible cancer journey.

He taught us patience and kindness and to always lend a helping hand. I believe we have carried that on through us, his children, and our children ( his precious grandchildren.

My dad passed away on June 11, and in the aftermath we discovered he had canceled his policy so that he could pay on others. He had always been healthy and I'm sure intended to start it again before this disease changed all of our lives. While, as I said, he was proud... he also taught us it is ok to ask for help. And while this is hard for me to do, I need to ask for help. We still need a little less than half of his final expenses and anything can help with making sure he finally is at peace.
