Michael (Mikey) Shane Williams

Hi, my name is Vanessa and I am creating this page on behalf of Heidi, Trenton, and the love of his life, Liz, to help put their beloved Mikey to rest.

Michael (Mikey) Shane Williams passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2024.

Mikey has been a lifelong resident of Gloucester and enjoyed everything this beautiful coastal city had to offer.

If he wasn't foraging in the woods and indulging in his love for mycology, you could easily find him at home snuggling with his cat, Bobby. His love for animals was just as strong as his love for his closest family and friends, especially his closest and beloved friend, Matty.

Traveling was another one of his interests. Mikey traveled the world with his favorite Pilot Liz. They ventured all over the world, such as Hawaii, and Europe. Taking a small part of the culture home with them at each stop, especially the food. He enjoyed cooking and a favorite dish was paella.

Over the years, Mikey's love for music progressed and he dove deep into house music. Music was not only a hobby he loved but an outlet. Into the night, you could hear the loud thumps of bass music vibrating his apartment. He was his happiest behind his turntables, dancing away, carefree.

When Mikey was done enjoying his weekends that consisted of long nature walks, art, music, family, and friends, he was hard at work. He enjoyed carpentry and was even featured on This Old House. He took pride in his work and was always looking to increase his skill set.

Any contributions will go directly to his funeral expenses and will help alleviate the immense financial burden that has been bestowed upon his family and loved ones so abruptly.
