Michael Nicholson medical emergency

Donation protected
Hey friends. My dear friend Michael is extremely ill with AIDS and cancer, which was manageable until he was unable to receive his medication due to losing his health insurance 3 months ago. Michael is living alone, struggling every day just to get out of bed. Without the medication, he will not live much longer. With his medication, he will have the opportunity to keep going, feel better physically, and keep playing his violin a little longer. He won’t be cured, but it could extend his precious life. Medications are an absolute necessity when one has AIDS.
Michael has been one of my dearest friends for over 3 decades, he is a generous person and has given so much to others through his life.
I want us to help him at least not have to worry about financial breakdown and medications for at least as long as he has left on this earth. His meds alone will cost $4000 per month, which as a violinist living in Sam Fransisco is impossible. He does not have family support but we are his chosen earth family
whether you know him, or not, please help my dear friend. Every drop will help his life see a bit more light before his journey home.

Here is it said in his own words on a post I saw today…
”After a 12 hour day in the hospital with a plethora of testing on Tuesday, I have a super clear image of what my health snap looks like. My intuition has always been sharp and keen and as much as I wanted my gut to be wrong with this, it was nothing but right.

I am actively dying now. My CD4 count is 7…..single digit 7. My lymphatic system and digestive tract are shutting down. My energy level is so so so low and slow. And my heart feels so heavy to admit all of this because saying it out loud makes it real. But it is what it is, and in the end everything is going to be alright…I’ll hold this sentence close while spreading it wide until the end of my time. I have the opportunity to look my entire life in the face and come to peace with all of it…every stitch in the quilt…love it with all of its beauty and flaws.

The coming weeks for me are about connection and comfort. I welcome communication from anyone. If you have old pictures, send them my way! More memories for me, the better. I’ve always held my friendships at the forefront of my life.

I will be in Tulsa from April 27-May 15 as a guest artist with Tulsa Ballet performing Alexander Ekmann’s Cacti. This is a brilliant piece of art that I get the opportunity to collaborate on for a second run. This run will also be the last for me professionally. I’m broken-hearted but spirit-lifted with this one being the end.

I’ll return to my home in San Francisco after my Tulsa goodbyes to begin my transition. I will welcome any loved ones who would like to visit at any point. My home and heart are open fully…phone calls encouraged!

Nothing but love through and through ❤️”

so, dear friends, Please give to help Mikie. He would never ask, but I know he will cherish every penny that helps him in his very challenging time.
