Please meet Michael Pratt Podgurski born on September 21, 2016! Michael is the the son of Heather and Bryan Podgurski, a brother to Hadley, and grandson to our very dear friends Beth and Mike Podgurski. Michael was born with a very rare congenital condition called Vacterl with Hydrocephalus.
Michael in his first month of life has been through so much. Though his future holds more medical interventions Michael continues to be a little champ and fighter and is holding his own. So far, he has had surgery on his brain to add a shunt to aid with the Hydrocephalus. He underwent Open Heart Surgery to repair his cardiac condition. And now he is due to return to surgery to provide closure from previous Open Heart Surgery. Michael has brought much joy to this wonderful family, but as you can imagine the financial burden is beyond what most any family can handle!
