This upcoming November sadly marks 10 years since our dear friend, Michael Racanelli, passed away. In his 20 very impactful years spent living amongst us, Mike embodied what it meant to be alive - spreading joy wherever he went and offering a helping hand to those in need. His kind and uplifting spirit was truly one of a kind, which anyone who knew him would fully attest to.
While the hole that Mike’s passing left in our hearts will never fully heal, we know one of the best ways to fill that void is through giving and charity.
In honor of Mike’s legacy and tremendous generosity, we are launching a fundraising drive through Thanksgiving to raise money for the foundation set up by his family after his passing:

Foundation Mission:
Michael's pure heart and generous spirit has inspired the Michael Racanelli Forever Young Foundation. Our mission is to help young people in the many communities that Michael was blessed to be a part of.
Here are just a few of the ways we are spreading PEACE in Micheal's name:
Every year, we provide:
- Hundreds of holiday meals to those in need through St Patrick’s Hospitality Center
- Backpacks and school supplies to kids excited to start their new school year
We partner with:
- Mission Be, which aims to bring mindfulness into classrooms locally and throughout the country
We sponsor:
- Many faith and service based mission trips throughout the world, carried out by those who have been inspired by Michael
- Many runners participating in several marathons who raise money for worthy charities
We give:
- A $1,500 lacrosse scholarship to a Bay Shore High School senior
The Michael Racanelli Forever Young Foundation worked to support families devastated by the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Every year, the Foundation organizes a 5K Turkey Trot the morning of Thanksgiving as a way to bring the local community together and show gratitude. Let's make this fundraiser the perfect compliment to a wonderful annual tradition!
