Michael Rebuild His Life Lost to the Palisades Fire

Hello, everyone. Thank you for taking the time to visit this GoFundMe in the midst of the tragedies occurring in the city we call home. My name is Evan and I have just graduated from Palisades Charter High School in 2024. I have lived in the Pacific Palisades my entire life. I am starting this fundraiser for my father.

This will be raising funds for Michael Pick, a 72-year-old Pacific Palisades resident who just lost his home to the Palisades Fire. My father Michael is physically challenged with bad knees and spine problems. He can not drive or walk well. Due to his physical circumstances, he could not pack anything during the evacuation process and he received a late police escort to the hotel he is currently staying in while we search for a new home for him. Michael lives alone in an apartment in the Marquez neighborhood that has completely burned down. Everything that he has ever owned was burned and lost in the fire.

The money from this fundraiser will be used for essential living expenses as we work to move my father into a new home. Expenses such as the hotel he is staying in now, medication, food and water, deposits for a new home, and everyday living essentials that have been lost in the fire.
