In Memory of Michael Rego

Mike was a family man. He found purpose in providing for his family and was a loving partner to his wife, Alissa. They would have been married for 18 years this coming April. Mike is a father to two beautiful children, Ian and Sophia. When we think of Mike, we remember what an amazing father he was. He lived to ensure his children had a life filled with love, connection and meaningful experiences. You could easily find him in the backyard throwing the ball around with both kids or in the crowd at one of their games.

Mike was also married to the sea. He has been a scalloper since the age of 23. On February 22nd, 2024 he laid down to rest while he was off watch on The Ocean Pride and never woke up. Mike suffered a sudden medical emergency during his sleep that tragically ended his life at the young age of 46.

This loss has devastated the Rego family. Mike had so much more to do and be. His contagious energy will be missed so profoundly in our community.
