Michael Rhodes & Covid family medical support

Donation protected
I want to say thank you to everyone for all the prayers, well wishes, get betters and good vibes being sent Michaels way!
As most of you know. Michael went to DC to battle in the front line against COVID. He did this for a few reasons. One, he’s family man.  Supporting his family is something he prides himself on. Two, his company. Ion fire is everything to him. These times of quarantine, restaurants closing, caused a lot of restaurants to drop services. Michael being the responsible person he is. Couldn’t see his guys going without pay. So he chose to forfeit his Ion pay for they sake of paying his guys and took this travel job to support his family.
Working long hours on the COVID unit. Only a certain allowance of PPE. He was forced to wear a N95 for more shifts than he should and a gown for longer than safe. But taking care of these sick people, mostly elderly nursing home people needing constant turning and support, Michael gave full effort working long shifts sweating through the layers of PPE and totally exhausted and dehydrated at the end of the day.
Last week things changed. He started Monday with aching back. Tuesday he was exhausted but figured it was a long shift. By Tuesday night the fevers started. He battled hard. Even though family and friends urged him to go to hospital, he wouldn’t. It was just him and someone I call his guardian angel  Carmen. Someone he met in orientation and they hit it off immediately. Carmen stood by Michael. Taking care of him and Hazel even though he was diagnosed with COVID also.
Yesterday. Enough was enough.  With oxygen levels dropping Michael said it was time to go to ER. He was admitted immediately to ICU. High O2 through the night and close monitoring. His symptoms were not improving and with his medical history that hospital did not feel comfortable continuing his care so today he was transferred to a bigger hospital more equipped to care for him.
I’m in close contact with the ICU drs and his nurse. They are working hard to get Michael comfortable. His body is exhausted. It has been working hard for too long. He is day 9 of this process and I’m told by drs day 10 is the pivotal timeframe. It’s sink or swim time. So the next 24 hours are critical.
I appreciate everyone reaching out offering to help. I can FEEL the love for Michael and I hope he can feel those vibes too! We want him to FIGHT THIS!!  Thank you for any and all of support, Michael's family will have extensive medical bills coming from his fight to beat this virus!

He has AMAZING friends ♥️ Thank you!!
