Michael Shannon Watson & Family

Hi my name is Craig Penland and I am fundraising for one of my very good friends, Michael Shannon Watson and his family.

Shannon has done so much for so many men in the Upstate that have at some point in their lives struggled with addictions. I wouldn’t even be able to count how many marriages he has helped save by being a faithful counselor and pointing couples to more God centered marriages.

Now it’s our turn as his friends to give back to someone that has given so much over the years. You see, Shannon entered the hospital more than 3 weeks ago with an agonizing cough and low oxygen levels. After a litany of tests and agonizing moments of uncertainty, he has finally been diagnosed with an aggressive lung cancer. The irony being that he has never been a tobacco user.

Nevertheless, he and his wife Gwen have 4 children at home that need to be cared for. With Shannon being in the hospital and not seeing patients for these last 3+ weeks, he hasn’t brought in any income. And even though it looks as if he will get to go home soon, no one knows as of this time what that will even look like, and if he'll be able to continue seeing patients. Therefore their family is going to need financial assistance not only with their mortgage, monthly bills, and food for the foreseeable future, but now it looks like their medical expenses will grow due to ongoing chemotherapy treatments.
