Hey fam,

Last weekend I learned of my brother's unexpected passing. It came as a surprise to our family, and we're still mourning his death. In addition to this new reality, we're trying to navigate the additional costs of an unexpected death. For this reason, I'm hoping those who know and love our family will be willing to support us however they can. I've included my brother's obituary below, and thank you in advance for your generosity, prayers, and support during this time.

Any donations made will be sent to Horne Funeral Home in Christiansburg, VA, to assist in overall costs. Our family is grateful to have so many friends who are like family that love and support us, and we're thankful for every one of you. Again, thank you for helping us honor my brother's life.

Michael Perry Turpin, 47, of Christiansburg, passed away at home on July 28, 2023. He was a 1994 graduate of Blacksburg High School. Michael worked for several years at C&S Door. Michael was very proud of his grandchild. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, William H. & Edith Turpin, and Frank H. Epperly & Doris Epperly Gills. He is survived by his wife, Christy Alison Turpin; father, W.P. Turpin & wife, Carol; mother, Linda Webber & husband, Roger; son, Shane Turpin & wife, Mary, and Ervin Buchanon III; grandchildren, Hayden and Ember Turpin; sister, Jody Eckart & husband, Stephen; brother, Preston Turpin & wife, Megan; and his dogs, Mack and Jax. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home on Saturday, August 12.
